Types of Financial Aid Available - Student Loans
Chattahoochee Technical College does not participate in any federal student or parent loan programs. Students choosing to receive private student loans may do so by contacting a lender of their choice to begin the private loan application process.
Private student loans are different from federal student loans in that they are not guaranteed by the federal government, require a credit check, and often a co-signer. Terms and conditions vary significantly by lender. Carefully consider your needs, and then select a loan product that best meets your individual situation.
Chattahoochee Technical College does not endorse or support any specific lender or student loan program/product.
Your lender will notify us of your credit approved application. After determining your actual eligibility, we will certify your loan. The process can take up to 5 - 6 weeks from the time you apply until receipt of funds.
Once the loan check is received by CTC, your loan proceeds will be disbursed to your CTC student account and your outstanding charges, if any, will automatically be deducted before the balance is sent out. Any remaining credit balances will be applied to your CTC One Card. No loan funds will be disbursed before the start of classes.
The Georgia Student Access Loan (SAL) is a limited resource loan program that is designed to assist undergraduate students who have a gap in meeting their educational costs. The program is also designed to provide interest rate and repayment incentives to those who complete their program of study within the designed program length, work in select public service sectors or STEM fields.
